Indian Head Massage originated over a thousand years ago as a form of traditional family grooming and was brought over to the UK in the 1970s by Narendra Metha, who developed it into an actual therapy.
The treatment relieves tension, headaches and stress with massage to the shoulders, neck, scalp and face. It also stimulates lymphatic drainage, helping to remove toxins and boost the immune system as well as restoring joint mobility and improving circulation.
Within the course structure you will learn:
- A brief history of Indian Head Massage, and the necessary understanding of how and why this treatment works
- An explanation of contraindications and treatment safety
- Practical demonstrations and teaching of the treatment broken down into easy to learn sections
- An opportunity to give and receive the full treatment with individual feedback
- Individual coaching within a small group.
- Notes for each student to take away, outlining each movement in detail.
